We’re getting ready for BarCampBogotá! We spend a lot of time dealing with technology, so we thought it was high time for us to get more involved in the tech community here in Bogotá.
What exactly is a ‘BarCamp’?
“A Barcamp is an un-conference organized by the attendees themselves. It isn’t a formal event, and errors or problems are accepted. Attendees arrive and then write the topics they’re going to present on a whiteboard. Attendees then choose which presentations they’d like to attend.

“BarCamp is a worldwide phenomenon that has grown out of boring conferences. The best ideas and dynamic moments happen in the hallways of conferences. BarCamps only have a hallway. No-one knows how they will talk, or what will result from it. Rather than vendors speaking, users speak. Rather than one person, everyone speaks. Rather than prepared presentations there are impromptu revelations.”
