THE ONLINE SPANISH SCHOOL:        

Lectures: Once you sign up, you have unlimited access to the lectures in the school. The lectures have dialogs, grammar exercises, vocabulary, and activities to challenge you.

Homework: After finishing the lecture, it's time to do homework! The homework has multiple choice, matching, fill in the blank, image zone, and open answer questions. We've also included audio in the homework so that you'll hear a lot of authentic Spanish!

Feedback: If you sign up for the Completo Plan, you'll receive personalized feedback on your open answer questions. How does feedback work? When you submit your homework, it is automatically delivered to us. One of our tutors will review your sentences or paragraphs and then give you personalized feedback on your Spanish. You can also ask your tutor any questions you have.

Live tutoring: With live tutoring, you can practice your Spanish speaking skills with a native Spanish speaking instructor. This component is entirely optional and you decide how often you meet with your tutor.

PRICING:        

We receive a lot of phone calls and emails from people asking how the pricing works for the online Spanish school. Because of that, we've changed our pricing. Here's what we're going to do to make sure that everyone is happy. (Or at least try to make everyone happy!!!!!) We're going to change the 6-month 'Básico Plan' to 18 months. During 2008, if you purchase the $99 'Plan Básico', you'll have access to the online Spanish school for 18 months. (That's not a typo. It does in fact read 18 months.)

What does that mean?

It means that you if you study hard, you'll have access to ALL EIGHT LEVELS of the online school. You can start studying right now and then continue studying 2009. As each level is published, you'll receive access. You won't have to pay more. You won't have to do anything at all. If you sign up for the $99 'Plan Básico', it's a one-time payment that will give you access to the online school for 18 months.

Why are we doing this? We'll give you the A, B, and C of it!

A: We're doing this because that's what you've asked for. Many people have expressed interest in paying for the entire set of lessons instead of paying for a subscription. ¡Entendemos! (We understand!)

B: Many people have also said that they would like to sign up, but that they are waiting until we have more levels. ¡Entendemos! We are still in the process of developing content. We're finishing up LEVEL 4 right now and we'll be starting on LEVEL 5 shortly. We plan on having at least eight levels by the end of 2008 and we are on track to make that happen. Now you don't have to wait. You can "buy now" knowing that you'll have access to the rest of the levels without having to pay more.

C: When we started with the online school, we weren't sure how much bandwidth we would use. Now that the school has been running for over seven months, and with several hundred users, we know that bandwidth isn't going to be a big problem. Our wonderful server provider, Servint, just raised our bandwidth allowance and lowered the prices on bandwidth overages.

To sum it up: if you sign up for the $99 'Plan Básico', you'll have access to the entire school for 18 months. You'll be able to start right now, work your way through the first levels, and then still have plenty of time to finish the rest of the school.

We're also going to change the 'Plan Completo'. If you purchase the 'Plan Completo' for $299, you'll also receive access to the online school for 18 months. The 'Plan Completo' will continue to function the same way. You'll receive personalized feedback from one of our tutors on your homework (the open answer questions) and have access to a tutor who will answer your questions.
